Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals have set for the 2nd Match of IPL 2024. Punjab side led by Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant returning from accident recovery to led Delhi Capital. Both the time have never won this trophy in IPL history. They will do try their level hard to lift IPL trophy of this season. Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium, Chandigarh is set for leading 2nd Match of IPL 2024.

1st Inning Highlights

David Warner and Mitchell Marsh begun the inning for Delhi Capitals. Warner took the strike. Shikhar gave bowl to Sam Curran to start first over. Mitchell Marsh hit two consecutive boundaries on the ball of Sam Curran.

Warner started the inning in style and hit ball to maximum on 3rd ball of second over, followed by boundary on next ball of Arshadeep. He sent 5th ball of 5th over to maximum. Shai Hope took strike after Marsh. He took Rahul Chahar on grant and hit SIX on 5th ball of 7th over of inning. Captain Rishabh Pant come to strike after fall of Warner’s Wicket.

Shai Hope faced first ball of 11th over bowled by Kagiso Rabada. Shai Hope sent his 3rd ball to maximum. But, on next ball, Rabada took his wicket. Abhishek Porel concluded last over of innings bowled by Harshal Patel on style. Harshal Patel gave 25 runs in the last over which included three 4s and two 6s. Abhishek Porel hit SIX on 2nd and 5th ball of the over. He drived last ball of the inning to long-on and tried to complete two runs but only 1-run completed and Kuldeep Yadav got run out while completing 2nd Run. Delhi completed the inning on 174/9. 2nd Innings Highlights

Shikhar Dhawan and Bairstow came to chase the target of 175-runs. Rishabh gave ball in the hands of Khaleel Ahmad. Shikhar took strike for first and started the inning in style by sending the ball to boundary to backward point. First over of Khaleel concluded with 17 runs with Two 4s by Shikhar and two by Bairstow.

Shikhar were trying to build the inning but Ishant bowled him on first bowl of 4th over. It was first clean bowled of this IPL by experienced Ishant Sharma. Shikhar scored 22 runs off 16 balls. Sam Curran replaced Bairstow on crease and joined Prabhasimran Singh. Sam Curran took the inning of Punjab slowly with couple of boundaries and single-double towards the target. He reached 33 runs in 27 balls after 13 overs. Stubbs dropped him on Kuldeep’s ball in 14th over. He hit two boundaries in 15th over of Mitchell Marsh.

Sam Curran hit a SIX on second ball of over and Livingston hit maximum on last bowl of over. Sam Curran also hit a boundary on third ball of over. This over turned the match in favour of Punjab. Now, Punjab need only 10 runs in 12 balls.

Expensive Khaleel Ahmed begun last over of his spell. He only gave 4 runs in his last over and take two wickets for Delhi and tried to build pressure on Punjab Kings team. He took wicket of Sam Curran and Shashank Singh in this over. Sam Curran was clean bowled on 3rd bowl of over and Shashank was caught by Pant vehi the wicket on next ball. Punjab need 6 runs from last over.
