India and Bangladesh will face each other in the warm-up matches on 1st June, 2024 in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The schedule for warm up matches was announced by ICC on 16th May, 2024. The warm up matches will be played from 27 May to 1st of June across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. There will be 16 warm-up matches played before the inception of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
There are 3 stadiums for hosting warm-up matches for the tournament. Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago are set to host the warm-up matches from 27th May to 01st June. The 17-teams will fight each other in 16 warm-up matches.

Importance of Warm-Up Matches
Warm-up matches are very important in the preparation of the teams participating in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Preparation
Teams get to know about variety of pitches and adapting the techniques at new location that might play crucial role in performance of a team in the tournament. West Indies and the USA are hosting this tournament and 20 teams around the world are participating in the tournament. Warm-up matches will be very helpful for teams to acclimatize themselves for these weather conditions.
The humidity level of matches in Texas and Florida is different from the West Indian conditions. Humidity decides about swing of the ball and also impact the stamina of the player. These warm up matches helps players to adapt these climatic conditions and let them prepare accordingly.
Team Selection
Team management and coaching staff get crucial benefits to get a real-time assessment of players’ form and fitness in new conditions. It helps them to finalize the playing XI in the World Cup. Coaching staff can keenly assess the player form and easily assess the current performance levels and consistency in their game.
Warm Up matches give information to players about their physical condition and endurance level to play in new conditions of West Indies and the USA. Warm-up matches are opportunities for players to design strategies and for the coaching staff to decide their player combinations. The strategy formulation about the batting line-up, bowling attacks, batting strategies, and bowling strategies will be easy and comfortable for team management by Warm Up-matches.
Coaching staff formulates the strategy for Batting and Bowling Balance, and also define the floating roles of players with the performance of players from Warm-up matches.
