Travis Head: fourth fastest centurion of IPL | Match 30 | RCB vs SRH | IPL 2024

Travis Head blustered the bowling of RCB in the first inning of Match 30 of the IPL 2024. He smashed the fourth-fastest century in IPL history. Travis Head has scored 102 runs on 41 balls with the help of 9 FOURS and 8 SIXES in the inning. This inning by Travis Head took the score of Sunrisers Hyderabad to 287/3. This is the highest score by any team in the history of the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad have broken their own record of 277 runs that they have scored in the 8th match of this season against the Mumbai Indians. They had broken the record of RCB of 263 runs against the Mumbai Indians.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Inning

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head began the inning for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Will Jacks started to bowl first over of the inning. Both have collected 58 runs in the first five overs of the inning. Travis Head hit two Sixes in first five overs, one to Topley and another to Lockie Ferguson. Abhishek Sharma smashed one maximum for Topley.

Topley broke the first wicket partnership of 108 runs in the ninth over of the inning. Klaasen replaced Abhishek Sharma. The score for Sunrisers Hyderabad reached 128/1 after 10 overs. Travis Head smashed his fifty in just 20 balls on 5th ball of 6th over. Travis Head sent 6 balls out of the boundary within these 30 balls. He was at a different level today. Travis Head came with Abhishek Sharma to start his inning in the 30th match of this season. Travis Head showed his form on the second ball of the second over. He sent a FOUR to Reece Topley to deep mid-wicket with a SIX on the next ball to the straight. In the fifth over the inning, he hit two consecutive SIX on the second ball and the third ball of over-bowled by Ferguson. He hit the second ball over the deep backward square leg and the third ball over the deep mid-wicket region. He concluded this over with a FOUR over the head of the bowler.

Travis Head hit a SIX on the second ball and another on the fourth ball of the sixth over of the inning. He completed his fifty on the fifth ball of this over with a FOUR towards the cover. He completed his fifty in just 20 balls. The seventh over of the inning was bowled by Will Jacks, he hit three consecutive boundaries on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ball of the over with one FOUR and two consecutive SIXES. The two SIXES on the third and fourth delivery of over was over the deep mid-wicket.

He collected FOUR on the fourth ball of the 9th over, bowled by Topley with an edge to the boundary. He finished the over with another FOUR with a cut. Travis Head sent the second ball of the tenth over of the inning, bowled by Ferguson to SIX over a deep backward square leg. He took Yash Dayal for granted on the second ball of the 11th over. The first two balls of the 12th over were sent to FOUR by Head, bowled by Vijaykumar Vyshak. He completed his century on the fourth ball of this over with a FOUR. It was a 39-ball CENTURY by Travis Head. Travis lost his wicket on the third ball of the 13th over. Ferguson dismissed him on a slower delivery, and du Plessis caught him at mid-off.
